I own this toothbrush as well as the battery powered Oral B Crossfire.This toothbrush costs about $4 dollars more than the battery powered one but is rechargeable.The battery lasts about a week per charge.PROS:1. Very fast vibrations with smooth brushing action.2. Rechargeable. Lasts 1 week per charge.3. Can change out the brush heads when they wear out.4. Charging base is clean with no exposed metal parts to rust or get corroded.CONS:1. Brush head is small for me. The crossfire brush has a larger surface area and gets more teeth at a time.2. Uses Ni Cad batteries instead of Lithium battery.3. Replacement heads are very expensive. You could get two heads and the toothbrush for the same price as the three pack of replacement heads.BOTTOM LINE:Excellent power toothbrush. Gets your teeth cleaner than regular brushing.Would have given it five stars if the replacement...

Really GOOD for the price..........
Having read some of the reviews for this brush, and then having used it myself, I can't help thinking some people have missed the point.This is a rechargeable Oral B, for less than $30 you get -a) It's powerful to feel twice as fast as the best named brand that takes AA batteriesb) Small enough to take on your travels with the charging unitc) Built in timer to let you know that you have brushed for two minutes.d) Spare heads although not the cheapest are widely available.So why the criticism??Comparing this to other Oral B models like the 1000 pro series, or 5000 series is like comparing a Ford Focus to BMW, they BOTH drive, and will get you from point A to point B, one is two or three times the price of the other, for the extra money, you get extra features!!Whilst I don't like this as much as my Sonic-care, but it's a great brush, and for the price worth 4 stars in my opinion.

Love my Germ Terminator
I have had my Germ Terminator for 2 years and I can't imagin life without it. I am in the health care field and know the importance of preventing microbial contamination whenever possible. Even though it is not considered portable, I travel a great deal and never leave home without it tucked away in my suitcase. It does require a small effort to clean, but small is the operative word. Anyone who cares about keeping themselves and their families healthy would do well to keep a Germ Terminator in every bathroom. Also, you can sterilize other items that will fit in the basket and are not harmed by steam. I routinely sterilize the end of my Water Pik and other assorted dental hygine items before each use. Also, pierced earring that are all metal. I find it indispensable.

For clean toothbrushes and a healthier mouth...
This one really works. I used to get sore throats when using a non-sterilized toothbrush. Used to re-infect myself with colds and bacterial infections. For longest time, had multiple (20-30) toothbrushes and sterilized in top rack basket in dishwasher with water heater on high temp. That worked but time consuming.Now use Germ Terminator -- just as effective but takes less time and less water and less energy. For best results, use distilled water, but you can use tap too. If you use tap regularly you will need to watch for calcium build up like in coffee maker and run vinegar through it to get rid of calcium build up. I am able to sterilize my Braun electric toothbrush heads (which cost $10 each!) in this unit too besides regular toothbrushes. They fit in the little baskets.This unit is very light so it will be good for traveling even though footprint not as small as UV travel sanitizers.I love my steam sterilizer. Absolutely the best
I love this toothbrush ... probably as much as my 9 mos old son - when I gave it to him the first time he took it, popped it in his mouth and "uhmmmm"-ed, translation "goooood!" He chewed on it for the entire 8 minutes it took me to finish up his post-bath bed-time routine !Moving it back and forth over his itchy gums was heaven for him as he has 5 little teeth in front and 1 trying to bud out, it's been tough on my finger with the fingerbrush - I highly recommend this product, it's soft, flexible, and I know he's getting more cleaning action with this than when I use the fingerbrush - especially trying not to get chomped - (now if only there was a something to save me during breastfeeding !!)

Finally, we both like brushing teeth!
My son is 15 months old and way past letting me clean his teeth with those finger brushes (he bites hard)! I've been giving him a toddler toothbrush and trying to brush his front teeth is nearly impossible, we wrestle and he cries. Although, he will chew on it for his back teeth.From the moment I gave him this brush, he took to it and spent his whole bathtime chewing on it. He didn't want to give it up! Now he has more teeth coming in, so I'm going to purchase another one for him to chew on during the day.

Great toothbrush and low cost
This is a great convenience. The brush works well and automatically recharges each day when you return it to the base. My wife and I both have arthritis and this is very lightweight so it is easy to brush longer. Plus being rechargeable it will save on batteries over the battery model so the difference is worth it. No doubt it has a fixed number of charge cycles so eventually it will go bad but for the cost it should be reasonable. Highly recommended.

the charge lasts at least a year.
I use this toothbrush everyday. It was given to me for Christmas, 2007. It's now approaching Christmas,2008 and appears to be holding its charge as well as the Energizer Bunny. I'm very pleased with it and the results I get with it.

"It's fun to do my daily needs..."
I am an eight year old girl and i love my new toothbrush. I was not fond of brushing my teeth till i bought this new tooth brush. I loved that i got to decorate my own way! Solution to a real problem
The problem being that most of today's electronics and the various chargers continue to consume small amounts of electricity when not in use and the waste can add up.Brief evaluation----------------This surge protector allows for up to 8 devices to be plugged in with sufficient room for the wider DC adapters to fit and it will protect them against power surges. What makes it 'special' is, of course, the remote control that will completely shut off all but 2 of the outlets so nothing, not even stand-by power is consumed. Remote broke after 2 weeks
I was looking for something I could attach to my entertainment system, cable modem and wifi router and easily power all off to save power when not in use when I'm at work/sleeping/out of town and turn back on when I was home. I liked this product when I first got it, it did what it said it would do and the remote worked from anywhere in my condo.However, 2 weeks in the remote would no longer send the signal to turn the unit off. I could manually turn it off and turn it back on with the remote, but that was it. However, since the power strip is placed in an area that's not easily accessible, the unit no longer served its purpose.I've ordered a replacement through Amazon, I'll follow up after the new unit gets some use to see if this is a persistent problem.
